Responsible for developing innovative electrical systems for our next generation metrology/sensing equipment for process control.
Design optoelectronics system for optical sensors (e.g. detector selection, detector PCB, data acquisition PCB etc.)
Design electrical system for motion control (e.g. wafer stage etc), including control system PCB, FPGA firmware, servo /stepper motor & drives selection, servo tuning, implementing communication protocols.
Generate electrical design specification by analyzing system requirement, customer need, cost and manufacturing process constraints.
Design PCB layout, utilize his/her deep best-practice knowledge of grounding, decoupling, EMC, ESD, impedance matching, thermal management, etc.
Design analog and digital circuits and schematic, and select, evaluate and qualify the components.
Evaluate feasibility and test for concept proof.
Conduct circuit simulation and performance assessment with analytical tools and/or necessary software, and test for design validation.
Comply with the product life cycle (PLC) procedures.
Create technical documents and execute the document control procedures (ECN, ECO).
Provide technical support for both manufacturing and customers.
MS/Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical engineering is required for this critical position.
Preferred hands-on experience in electrical/electronic systems design in semiconductor equipment industry.
Strong training and working experiences in the following:
Analog and digital circuits design
PCB layout design using OrCAD Layout tool (or equivalent)
PCB manufacturing process
Schematic design using OrCAD Capture (or equivalent)
Firmware design using Altera design tool, Verilog (or equivalent)
Cable design and create cable assemble drawings using AutoCAD and/or Visio (or equivalent).
Document control using Agile (or equivalent).
Conduct system-level performance evaluation, diagnosis and debugging.
Troubleshoot the electronic systems using oscilloscope and network analyzer
