Content Sales is a dynamic and evolving department within DMED. The team is responsible for the linear and digital licensing of the movies and TV series produced by the world-class studios and brands of The Walt Disney Company. As an intern with the Content Sales team, you will collaborate with the sales strategy and development team, our direct-to-consumer partners, and various other internal stakeholders to support the sale of Disney content.
Assist in managing the domestic and global distribution of Disney content, supporting revenue targets for the company’s entire content portfolio
Provide deal support from beginning to end (e.g. content availability, package proposals, deal value analysis, license agreement review)
Be a content and programming expert across movies and TV series, with a strong understanding of the SVOD, AVOD, Cable, and Broadcast businesses
Utilize and summarize research on titles, trends, platforms, competitors, and markets, and explore and develop new leads and opportunities
Create impactful presentations that combine analytics and storytelling in Excel and PowerPoint
Manage sales tools including contract administration and customer profiles
Team player with success working within a complex and fast-paced organization with a variety of key stakeholders
Expertise in interpreting and synthesizing data to provide sales and content programming business insights
Ability to think independently and manage various initiatives simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Currently enrolled in an MBA program and on track to graduate by summer 2022 OR must have graduated from an MBA program within 18 months
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program concurrent to this internship
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
This internship is a remote internship; the internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2021 through August 2021
Candidate must be available to work full-time hours for the duration of the internship
