What you’ll be doing...
The Consumer Content and Partnerships Team is responsible for connecting consumers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network. We oversee partnerships, source opportunities and negotiate with a broad range of content and programming entities, including major broadcast and cable companies, sports leagues, emerging O&O platforms, OTT/digital providers, studios, AR/VR producers, retailers, gaming developers, and live entertainment venues and production companies.
The Advertising group within the Verizon Content Team is charged with defining new ad products and generating revenue beyond customer subscription revenue via the relationships managed within the Content Team. The bulk of this revenue today is video ad revenue on FiOS linear TV, video-on-demand, TV Everywhere connected TV apps, and addressable TV.
The Manager OTT / CTV Advertising will help our team blaze new trails leveraging Verizon’s role as the largest direct-to-consumer platform in the U.S., creating our next revenue growth driver. Conceiving, creating, monetizing and measuring new, scalable, digital advertising opportunities in existing and emerging Verizon web, wireless, and OTT and CTV streaming environments
Identifying important, unmet needs and creating innovative ways of solving them
Managing product delivery and business expectations
Helping to market streaming video and other OTT content services to millions of Verizon customers
Creating product requirements documents and functional specifications
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop product roadmaps
Partnering with external vendors and internal Verizon teams such as product, marketing, technology, and digital media
Becoming a new-revenue hero in one of the most exciting new spaces in media
What we’re looking for...
You are excited by the prospect of putting the power of Verizon’s brand and millions of customer connections to work in OTT and video streaming. You are hands-on, ad tech savvy, product oriented, fluent with data targeting, measurement and/or attribution, advertising and marketing, proficient and experienced in display, video, mobile, programmatic and/or other digital advertising.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree and/or six years of relevant work experience.
Digital advertising experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.
Even better if you have:
Experience with OTT marketing and advertising at a content provider, streaming video service or platform, or other digital media company
Translated market knowledge and strategy into valuable and translatable ad products and services
Experience with forecasting ad opportunities
Identified and activated sales channels
