Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Support Technician I to join the MSA Information Technology Systems & Services (ITSS) division.
Assist in hardware inventory placement and tracking
Update Inventory database with assets; both hardware and software
Assist in installation of hardware and network cabling
Assist in infrastructure design work; network/server drawings
Assist in hardware configuration, ordering, tracking and filing
Assist in fulfilling work orders for internal and external customers
Create and update project documentation for new and existing customers
Attend customer project review meetings and internal division project meetings
Work with Outlook, Excel, Visio and Word
Technical certificate or AS degree in computer related discipline or equivalent experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Basic understanding of networked computers
Ability to troubleshoot Data Center server, storage, and network device problems, both application and hardware
Works according to specific instructions
Exposure to various operating systems, PC configurations, and Microsoft Office suite
Must be able to maintain consistent, courteous and professional behavior with great attention to detail and accuracy while solving all assigned inquiries
Must be able to lift 50lbs, work under raised floor data center environments and in overhead cable tray systems
Basic mechanical skills including the ability to use basic hand tools
