What does New Street do?
Our primary business is advising institutional investors where to invest in the TMT sectors; however, when we are at our best we are combining intellect and industry knowledge to help shape the industry we cover. We solve problems for investors, telecom, cable, technology and Internet companies, regulatory agencies and other industry participants ranging from investment decisions, capital raising, capital deployment, strategy and policy.
What will you do?
Manage important institutional account relationships in North America including servicing PMs, buy-side analysts, broker liaison and senior account relationships
Identify and forge new institutional relationships for the firm, driving revenues in the process
Drive investor engagement with our research product through your sales calls, organizing research analyst calls and meetings, and corporate access events
Work with our sales and research teams in London and Singapore to cover complex, global accounts
Be a valuable part of the feedback loop to assist in the development and refinement of our research product
What do you need to succeed?
Minimum 7-10 year equity sales experience in North America
Proven track record of developing strong institutional relationships and growing revenues. We seek salespersons whose views and judgement are respected by senior decision makers among our clients, and who can leverage those relationships in a commercial way
Be driven by the research process; be intellectually excited by the product; understand the market; understand what makes ideas work; most importantly, understand what specific clients care about and how to deliver value to them. TMT expertise not essential, but an advantage
Strong interpersonal skills
Detail-focused and organized
